Meet Jason

Jason Ross sings baritone for group and handles much of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the ministry running — including the website, graphic design, merchandise, finances, technology, and inventory. He lives in Americus, GA with his wife, Karen, and their four (soon to be five) children. Life is full, but it’s good.
Jason got his start in music through church, where he was especially drawn to a cappella groups like Acappella and The Vocal Union. Over time, he grew to love Southern Gospel and was especially influenced by groups like The Cathedrals, Gaither Vocal Band, Gold City, and Brian Free & Assurance. In addition to singing, he enjoys songwriting. A few of his songs appear on the group’s Christmas album, and he’s working on more for future projects.

He studied audio production and music technology at Middle Tennessee State University, and later earned an MBA in Accounting. These days, he teaches high school math full time and also teaches online college math courses for several schools in Georgia.
Outside of work and music, Jason enjoys teaching Bible classes at church and occasionally filling in to preach when needed. He has a passion for studying Scripture and theology; devouring the works of scholars like N.T. Wright, Michael Heiser, Matthew Bates, Carmen Imes, and John Walton to name a few.
In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors, especially gardening and landscaping with his wife or teaching his sons how to work with their hands as well as their minds through woodworking and building projects as they slowly remodel their 1940s-era home — one project (or crisis) at a time. And on lighter days, you might find him at the table with his kids, rolling dice and leading them through epic adventures filled with monsters, treasure, and daring rescues.
