“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5
Nobody else has taken your punishment, only Jesus. Not only would nobody else be willing to do that for us, nobody else was worthy. Since we have all sinned, we would receive punishment for our own sins. Only Jesus, who never sinned, was able and worthy to die for the sins of others. He satisfied God’s requirements and paid the price for us. All he asks in return is that you trust him and commit to following him. He gave everything for you; will you give your life to him?
