“Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.”

This was in a prayer of Thanksgiving offered by King Hezekiah after recovering from an illness. Even in his hard time, he was able to see the benefit of God’s grace and provision. Sometimes God speaks to us the most during the hard times. Look for good in every situation and you’ll see God more clearly than ever. And I love that he puts our sin behind his back. Once we’re forgiven, he’ll never look at those sins again.
